Clinic Policies

At Hollick Kenyon Veterinary Clinic, we are dedicated to the absolute well-being of your pet. Our policies reflect our passion and dedication to give you a great experience. The following are a few rules and guidelines that help us do the best job possible.

Appointments are recommended for non-emergency visits. Appointments can be booked during regular hours on weekdays between 9am and 8pm by anyone; appointments can also be booked between 9am-5pm on Saturdays and 2pm-5pm on Sundays/Holidays but by HKVC clients only. Please note that you must call at least one hour prior to book an appointment. Not calling an hour prior/not being able to call an hour earlier (ex. in the case that there is less than one hour until the end of regular hours) will result in your visit being considered an emergency. In the event that we cannot get to your appointment in the case of an emergency, we will reschedule it at your convenience; if you choose to come on the same day but the appointment needs to be pushed into emergency hours (after 8pm on weekdays, 5pm on Saturdays, and 5pm on Sundays) due to an emergency/other scheduling issues, you will not be charged emergency fees on your visit. Patients who come in for appointments but result in stays overnight/into emergency hours because of treatment/hospitalization will not be charged an emergency for the treatments that they receive.

Walk-ins and visits during emergency hours are considered emergencies at Hollick Kenyon Veterinary Clinic. Emergencies are subject to an $109.00 exam fee up front, as well as a 15% service fee on top of all the treatments done. Please note that all appointments made by non-clients on weekends are considered emergencies.

HKVC requests that payments be due at the end of your visit for vaccines and other appointments that do not require additional treatment. HKVC requests that emergency exam fees ($109) be paid up front and prior to seeing the veterinarian; treatment fees will not be requested up front. HKVC requests that a 50% deposit be paid prior to all treatments/extended stays (such as a surgery, or hospitalization); the other 50% will be due at the end of your visit or when your pet is discharged. Please note that for extended hospitalizations each day’s treatment will have to be paid individually, meaning that in a five (5) day hospitalization payment will be made each of the five (5) days during your pet’s stay at not collectively at the end of your pet’s visit. HKVC reserves the right to restrict the discharge of your pet unless all fees have been paid and requirements met. HKVC reserves the right to change these policies at anytime and without notice, and HKVC restricts the right to vary payment plans for each individual case.
